These components require the use of a Power Wedge Ultra 115 or 111 to provide a higher powered isolated outlet. They can not be plugged into the standard 120 watt outlets. Plugging the higher powered component into an amplifier outlet will reduce the isolation benefits of the Ultra Wedge and is not recommended. The following components are known to require the use of a Ultra Wedge 115 or Ultra Wedge 111: BAT VK5 preamp, the various models of the CAT preamp, Sonic Frontiers SFL-2 preamp, the VAC CPA1 Mark II preamp and the Theta Voyager. There may be other components that will require more power. To determine the power consumption of your unit, look in your component's manual or on the rear of the unit for the precise wattage figures. If in doubt, contact the component's manufacturer, your local dealer, or Audio Power Industries.
