Since the isolated outlets on most of the Ultra Wedges are rated at 120 watts, a television should never be plugged into an isolated outlet until the television's power consumption has been determined. To properly isolate a television in a home theater setup will require using the correct model based on the power requirement of the television. Most Ultra models have a 150 watt isolated outlet for smaller televisions. The Ultra 115 can supply up to 300 watts for larger sets, and the Ultra 111 can provide up to 600 watts for larger projectors. After identifying the power consumption of the television compare that to the power available on the various Ultra Wedges. The Ultra Wedge 115 offers a 300 watt outlet that will cover most direct view sets and may be sufficient for some of the smaller all in one projection sets. For one piece projection sets the Ultra Wedge 111 offers a 600 watt outlet. The Ultra Wedge 111 is also capable of powering some ceiling mount units. The Power Wedge 1118 falls in between, offering a 300 watt video outlet. For ceiling or floor projectors that exceed 600 watts of power consumption we recommend our Ultra Filter 1. The Ultra Filter 1 was designed as an industrial grade computer filter and surge protection system for computer systems that required extremely high quality graphics. We have found it to work very well on larger projectors. |
